Schönbrunn Palace – Austria (Vienna)

 Schönbrunn Palace – Austria (Vienna)

Hello FOLKS! This post from Isaac G will bring you half way across the world to a palace within Austria.

FUN FACT

Mozart played his first symphony at the Schönbrunn Palace as a boy at age 7.

The Schönbrunn Palace built in 1642 was once the summer ‘hideaway’ of the imperial family of Austria. It’s Baroque architecture will leave you speechless as you gaze upon the grandeur generated by countless fountains, endless gardens and a spectacular palace in the center of it all.

Once you walk through the palace you’re overwhelmed with gardens in all directions. The ‘backyard’ of the palace in the photo below will leave every visitor star struck. The structure at the top of the hill is called the ‘Gloriette’. It was built in 1775 simply as an observation point of Vienna.

The view of Vienna from the Gloriette once you have managed to climb the hill is truly breathtaking. Below you can get a glimpse of the view I shared when I was at the Schönbrunn Palace myself about a month and a half ago.

Ultimately, the Schönbrunn Palace is a must see destination for anybody visiting Vienna, it was once the home of Mozart’s music and the Austrian imperials. You will never forget this profound experience!
